For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an electrologist is helping people improve their self-confidence.

Unwanted hair can have a significant impact on a person’s self-esteem and because it’s such a personal issue, most people (both women AND men) don’t talk about the problem. I’ve actually written to Dr. Oz suggesting that he incorporate the topic on one of his Oprah Health segments. I love Dr. Oz and it’s no doubt that he’s helped millions of people by hosting his “embarrassment-free zone” talks on some of life’s most personal and embarrassing body/health problems. Since he hasn’t accepted my invitation to address the subject, I’ve decided to offer my own “embarrassment-free zone” on the topic of unwanted hair. (However, Dr. Oz, I’m still not giving up on you!)

At this site, I will focus on giving and receiving by providing a forum where you can share your own experiences for the benefit of those who may face the same unwanted hair issues.
